This incredibly octagonal tomb is (according to the internet at least) the earliest example of a garden tomb in India. Although there is no identified grave, it is believed that someone with a significant stature is buried inside this tomb. The interior of the tomb is adorned with stucco work and has captivating paintings. This imposing structure takes a square form, crowned by an expansive dome and resides on the northeastern side of Muhammad Shah’s tomb. The tomb has eight graves and the one in the centre is told to be the grave of Muhammad Shah. The Lodhi Garden is currently maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India.
