A three day workshop on “Research Methodology, Biostatistics & Research Ethics” was conducted by Department of Public Health Dentistry of Maratha Mandal’s Nathajirao G.

Halgekar Institute of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, Belagavi during 13th to 15th July 2015. The inauguration of the workshop was done by the president of Maratha Mandal group of institutions Mrs. Rajshree Nagaraju, eminent speaker Dr. L.Nagesh, Principal of the dental college Dr.Ramakant Nayak, Vice-principal Dr.Viraj Patil and the organizing secretary Dr.Ravi Shirahatti. The administrator of the dental college Dr.Rajan Datar, CDE in-charge Dr.Sachin Shivnaikar, all the heads of departments, faculty of the dental college and delegates were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion the president of Maratha Mandal group of institutions, Mrs.Rajshree Nagaraju stressed on the importance of conducting research and discovering innovative ways to improve the health of general public. The three day workshop was attended by more than 50 delegates from various dental colleges. The eminent speakers for the workshop included Dr.L.Nagesh, Dr.Shyam Sivasamy, Dr.Ravi Shirahatti, Dr.Praveen Mandroli, Dr.Kishore Bhat and Dr.Vinayak Joshi. The workshop consisted of lectures, educational videos and various group activities. The delegates learned about how to design and conduct research in a way that benefits the improvement of dental and medical treatments and also that helps to identify and cure the common dental diseases and medical problems.
